The Academic Appointment Diversity and Publicity Taskforce (AADAPT) is dedicated to increasing diversity in all forms including but not limited to gender, race/ethnicity, socio-economic status, age, ability, and sexual orientation in Smithsonian Institution’s internships and fellowships.
AADAPT’s pan-institutional team meets quarterly. Members regularly participate in outreach events such as affinity-group conferences and internship/career fairs in Washington, DC and around the country to promote SI academic programs to diverse audiences. On February 24, 2017, the Shakespeare Theatre Company at the Harman Center for the Arts held the DC Theater Collaboration Intern and Apprentice Fair.
