The Academic Appointment Diversity and Publicity Taskforce (AADAPT) is dedicated to increasing diversity in all forms including but not limited to gender, race/ethnicity, socio-economic status, age, ability, and sexual orientation in Smithsonian Institution’s internships and fellowships.

AADAPT’s pan-institutional team meets quarterly. Members regularly participate in outreach events such as affinity-group conferences and internship/career fairs in Washington, DC and around the country to promote SI academic programs to diverse audiences. On Wednesday, December 4, 2013, NMAH and OFI co-sponsored the second annual Career Center Conference.
