6th Annual SI Conservation Conference at Museum Conservation Institute(MCI)

On Thursday June 27, 2013, OFI’s interns Regina Reyes-Zaragoza, Brianne Sayers, and Elexus Buckner attended the 6th Annual SI Conservation Conference at Museum Conservation Institute(MCI) where they enjoyed presentations from Fellows presenting on topics such as Glass Disease: Evaluating Change and Treatment Procedures (Robin Ohern), Conservation Treatments on Islamic Cceramics in the Permanent Collections of the Freer and Sackler Galleries (Claire Cuyaubere ), Detecting, Quantifying, and Removing Mothball Vapors from Textiles in the NMAI Collection (Robyn Hodgkins ), and Inherently Fragile: The Problem with Cedar Bark and How to Fix it (Peter McElhinney) and much much more.
