Mercedes Shannon Heads to National Air and Space Museum for Summer Internship

Did you know that NASM intern Mercedes Shannon gets to see her grandfather’s Lockheed Electra every day? Mercedes’ grandfather flew the aircraft while in the U.S. Air Force. This summer Mercedes assists with the NASM Wall of Honor display, identifying potential names for the wall. She hopes to reach out to children through the establishment of a Junior Air and Space Society within NASM. You can read more about Mercedes here:
