Andrew Greene’s second performance at SAAM

Andrew Greene, a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, is an intern with the Culture and Arts Department at the National Museum of American History (NMAH). He is working on Jazz Research with Dr. John Edward Hasse in American Music, and is the founder and director of the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra, one of the few professional ragtime ensembles in the United States! Andrew has been preforming ragtime music on the piano at the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) and will be underscoring a silent film, Buster Keaton’s COLLEGE (1927) with the original musical score which he reconstructed on August 16th at 2:00 PM.
