Intern Discovers Unknown Origins in a Library Treasure Hunt

While interning at the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM)/National Portrait Gallery Library (NPG) library, Katherine Williamson set out to discover the origins of seven pieces of art. Under the mentorship of Doug Litts, Smithsonian Institution Libraries (SIL) Supervisory Librarian, Katherine researched the history of five different paintings, a marble bust and a cast iron sculpture.
