Congratulations, Project Search Class of 2014!

On June 13, 2014, the Smithsonian’s first Project Search graduation convened in the Smithsonian Castle. Project Search is a program offered to young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and gives them the opportunity to intern at several Smithsonian units. Approximately 150 guests attended the event, including Smithsonian Secretary Wayne Clough, Undersecretary for History, Art, and Culture, Richard Kurin, and Undersecretary of Finance and Administration/CFO, Al Horvath

This year, units participating in the Project Search program included the Archives of American Art (AAA), the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (HMSG), the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI), the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH), the National Postal Museum (NPM) the Office of Equal Employment and Minority Affairs (OEEMA), Office of Facilities Engineering and Operations (OFEO), the Office of Fellowships and Internships (OFI), the Office of Human Resources (OHR), the Smithsonian Enterprises (SE), and Smithsonian Institution Libraries (SIL).
