NMAH New Media Internships are open!

Do you want to learn more about museum work? Do you want to put your social media skills to use? Do you want to learn more about informal education? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you should check out the National Museum of American History’s (NMAH) New Media Internships!

New Media interns in the spring will be helping to support the Food History project, highlighting exhibitions about to open in the new West Wing, getting ready for World War I anniversaries, collaborating with Fords Theater on end of the Civil War anniversaries, planning for a National Youth Summit on social issues, and sharing jazz history with audiences across a variety of social media platforms.

Interns will be participating in a variety of different projects and events. They will also be writing blog posts for the museum’s website and managing the social media accounts. Application deadline for the spring is October 15, 2014.
