Mars Rover

The Office of Fellowships and Internships (OFI) was proud to start of the new Smithsonian Event Series with Dr. John Grant from National Air and Space Museum (NASM). Dr. Grant, a former NASA employee, who has been working with the Mars Rover project since 2001, gave a behind the scenes look into the adventures of rovers: Opportunity, Spirit, and Curiosity.

Participants also received a crash course in geology - explaining what different rocks and patterns translate to the history of Mars. Fellows and interns also received a peek at some Curiosity Rover pictures that were taken last week on the Mars surface.
