On the evening of February 12, 2015, Smithsonian Office of Human Resource (OHR) Specialists Sean Butler and Edith Tudae-Torboh, and I talked with George Mason University students and alumni at the GMU Arts in the Real World career fair. The Smithsonian representatives shared information about career opportunities, the Pathways program, internships, fellowships, and more at the Smithsonian. This expo-style event in Mason’s Center for the Arts Concert Hall Lobby housed 25-30 different arts and media employers from the region. The fair hosted nearly 250 students and alumni from Mason’s visual and performing arts programs.
