Once again, the Smithsonian had a strong, pan-institutional presence at another important diversity outreach event, this time at the 2015 NAACP Convention Diversity Career Fair in Philadelphia. On July 14th, Edith Tudae-Torboh from OHR, Anita Nahal from NMAAHC, Omar Eaton-Martinez from NMAH, and Karen Carter from OFI staffed a table chock full of information on careers, internships and fellowships at the Smithsonian and talked with hundreds of conference attendees interested in jobs or academic appointments with our great institution. As an added bonus, President Obama spoke! All in all the day was another inspiring and productive diversity-focused outreach event for the Smithsonian.
