2015 Here to Career Interns and Fellows

The 4th Annual Smithsonian Intern and Fellow Here to Career Event convened on Monday July 27, 2015 at the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI). This gateway enabled many Smithsonian interns and fellows to make new connections. A discussion panel moderated by Omar Eaton-Martinez, Interns and Fellows Manager of NMAH, consisted of Amy Bower, Coordinator of Public Programs with HMSG, Mani Lanka, IT Specialist of OCIO, Torsten Dikow, Research Entomologist with NMNH, Lilla Vekerdy, Supervisory Librarian of SIL, and Alexander Cooper, Exhibits Specialist of NPG. Each panelist discussed their career path and answered questions from interested audience members.

A career fair with tables from 12 different Smithsonian units welcomed the interns and fellows. People were encouraged to network among the tables and ask questions about specific departments, all while enjoying coffee and juice!
