A Whale of a Gift

When a 36 million year old ancient whale fossil cast was taken down at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) while part of the museum undergoes renovations, Mark Uhen (a paleontology professor at George Mason University (GMU) and Smithsonian research associate since 1994) asked if it might be displayed at George Mason.
