Carling Berkhout is a freshman at Bennington College where she studies creative writing and traditional music. She is also a gifted clawhammer banjo player (curious how it sounds? During her appointment as a Sales and Marketing Intern with Smithsonian Folkways she will be engaged in various projects ranging from academic research to social media management and albums promotion.
