One Entomoligist, Two Wives

Sketches found in one of multiple notebooks belonging to Dyar, exhibiting variations of the skiff moth caterpillars.

Dr. Marc Epstein is a Research Associate with the Smithsonian National Museum of National History (NMNH) Department of Entomology. He is also a Senior Insect Biosystematist with the California Department of Food and Agriculture.

Marc recently published a book about scientific innovator Harrison G. Dyar, Jr. entitled Moths, Myths, and Mosquitoes: The Eccentric Life of Harrison G. Dyar, Jr.
