Four Decades of Flight

For forty years, from 1976 to 2016, the National Air and Space Museum (NASM) has been praising the people and machines that have taken our species to new heights, both figuratively, and literally. NASM has taught visitors about how humans have learned to take flight, from the first plane made by the Wright brothers, to the International Space Station.

MaryCate Most, an intern with NASM’s Digital Enterprises department and senior studying journalism at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign recently posted an article providing a look back at some of NASM’s highlights over the years on the NASM Air Space Blog.
