Coming all the way from the Outback
Jodie Dowd, is staff member of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS). She lives in Canberra, Australia, and is working towards getting a Master’s Degree in Heritage and Museum Studies at the Australian National University.
This Summer Jodie is interning at the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) in the Collections Management department. She is participating in this internship with NMAI to further her research in indigenous cultures. She has traveled all the way to Washington, DC for what she considers to be an exciting opportunity. Jodie couldn’t be happier to be a Smithsonian intern.
To learn more about her internship, check out a recent post on the Show Me The Way blog here.
