Verónica Rivera-Negrón

Originally from Naranjito, PR, Verónica Rivera-Negrón is a theatre and dance graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin. She wants to pursue a career as an arts administrator and educator.

Verónica is spending her summer doing a fellowship at the National Museum of American History (NMAH). She is currently working on the project “Commemorating the Centennial of the Jones Act: Research and Programming”, in the Latino Museum Studies Program. The Jones Act was a legal document that declared Puetro Ricans to be citizens of the United States in 1917.
