Future Dr. Freeman

Jonathan Freeman, a graduate from Lane College, is pursuing his PhD at Purdue University.

Jonathan is an intern this summer at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC). Following his internship this summer as a Fulbright scholar, Jonathan will be conducting research for his dissertation at the National Research Foundation Chair of the Local Histories and Present Realities and the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.

To encourage others working to achieve their goals, Jonathan advises to always be open to new opportunities and to always seek advisors and mentors. Thanks for being here this summer Jonathan!
