Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) Intern Jefferson Riera learned about how to best protect wetlands as sea levels rise during his time this past summer with the SERC Ecological Modeling Lab. During his internship, Riera is not only creating statistical models to study the effects of climate change, but is also helping policymakers make more educated decisions.
