Project SEARCH alums Celestine and Austin

Through a partnership with Project SEARCH, every year the Smithsonian provides internship opportunities to young adults with cognitive disabilities. Since the program started four years ago, a number of Project SEARCH alums have been hired as SI staff.

Recently two Project SEARCH alums, Celestine Coleman (Office of Facilities Management & Reliability) ran into Austin Hall (National Museum of Natural History) while picking up a key. The moment was captured by the photo above. Project SEARCH has gone full circle!
