White House Initiative on HBCUs

The White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities convened the 2016 National HBCU Week Conference, which ran from Sunday 10/22/16 to Wednesday 10/26/16. The conference consisted of seminars, meetings, and meet and greets; United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch even spoke at the conference on Tuesday.

Smithsonian representatives attended in order to highlight SI internship and fellowship opportunities to HBCU students and faculty. With over 100 historically black colleges and universities in attendance, we were glad we could attend this awesome event!
