Have you heard of Project SEARCH?

Through this program, young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities learn relevant, marketable skills while immersed in an on-site business experience.

On February 1, 2017, Project SEARCH Smithsonian held a fair at the S. Dillon Ripley Center to celebrate their student’s hard work and progress. Guests engaged with students, and students were able to answer any questions guests might have. Students, teachers, and guests mingled and had friendly conversation in the display room as well as over refreshments. Many displays boasted the vast experiences these students had: from Program and Administrative support in the Smithsonian Science & Education Center (SSEC) to Collections Support at the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH)!

Thank you to everybody who made this event possible!
