Kate Hanks, Fall 2016 intern with Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage

Kate Hanks, a Northern California native, interned with the Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage (CFCH) in Fall 2016.

As an intern with CFCH, Kate helped create a part of the American Folk program. Kate also had the unique opportunity to listen to all sorts of music by National Heritage Fellows on the Smithsonian Folkways Recordings. With a vast number of collections to choose from, Kate compiled a playlist that reminded her of home.
