On February 24, 2017, the Shakespeare Theatre Company at the Harman Center for the Arts held the DC Theater Collaboration Intern and Apprentice Fair. Aimed at providing opportunities and information regarding internships and apprenticeships in the arts, a panel of six professionals held an open discussion followed by a Q&A session. Attendees were also able to meet with over fifteen performing arts and cultural organizations after the panel.

Coordinated by Wynsor Taylor from Washington Performing Arts and Mattie Schloetzer from National Gallery of Art, panelists Eve White from CityDance, Benjamin Douglas from D.C. Commision on the Arts and Humanities (DCCAH), Geri Provost Lyons from Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery (NPG), and Amanda Loerch from Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company advised attendees on how to write a resume, how to build toward professional career goals, and how to succeed as an intern and fellow.

Enthusiastic attendees on the fair floor!

Afterwards, attendees could wander the fair floor to investigate dozens of opportunities and ask the various organization representatives any and all of their questions.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible!
