Pre-opening Planetarium

Posted on June 13, 2018 by in The OFI Blog

The Albert Einstein Planetarium at the National Air and Space Museum (NASM) holds showings of one of its five features every 30 minutes throughout their regular hours. One benefit of interning or doing a fellowship at the Smithsonian is the various Morning in the Museum events put on just for Smithsonian Interns and Fellows which gives them the unique opportunity to see exhibits and shows before the museum is open to the public.

On Tuesday 6/12/18 interns and fellows from throughout the Smithsonian gathered at NASM before opening to see a special showing of the feature “To Space and Back” as well as a live show of space and the night sky put on by one of NASM’s planetarium technicians.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the event, and to everyone at NASM who helped make this event possible.
