NZP volunteer Les Finster informs visiting interns about reptiles
On Wednesday 7/11/18, the National Zoological Park (NZP) opened its gates an hour early for a group of Smithsonian interns.
The interns were led on a guided tour through the Reptile House, where they were able to see snakes and lizards outside cages, and the Small Mammal House, where they saw a southern tamandua outside its cage and spoke to an NZP intern who studies golden lion tamarinds.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible.
