Katzenberger Intern Researches Intellectual Property at FSG
Are you interested in Collections Management and the realm of Intellectual Property in museums? You can learn more by checking out this presentation recording from Katzenberger Foundation Art History intern, Madeline Clasen, whose internship at the Freer and Sackler Galleries (FSG) intersected perfectly with her interests in East Asia, art history, and law.
Madeline Clasen is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California where she studied Art History and East Asian Area Studies. In the summer of 2019, she was a collections management intern at the USC Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena, California. Her honors thesis looked at the Marie Kondo phenomenon and the gendering of minimalist design. She is also interested in the intersections of art and law and will attend law school at the University of Wisconsin in the fall. This summer she worked with Cory Grace at the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery as a Katzenberger Foundation Art History Intern, focusing on intellectual property research.
