Sean Butler and Geri Provost-Lyons at HBCU Career Development Marketplace
Geri Provost-Lyons, Docent and Intern Programs Manager at the National Portrait Gallery and Sean Butler, OHR Diversity and Recruitment Specialist attended the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) 9th Annual Conference on Monday 10/24/16 and Tuesday 10/25/16. The HBCU Career Development Marketplace is a national conference designed in 2004 to inform and educate top undergraduate students of Historically Black Colleges and Universities about how to achieve success in corporate America. During this national conference, roughly 250 students attend a series of workshops on leadership, what to expect after graduating and on how to effectively begin a career. The students speak face-to-face with experienced HBCU alumni from many different professions and gain access to representatives from corporations, organizations and government agencies seeking to hire talented students. Geri and Sean were happy to represent SI and AADAPT and meet so many outstanding potential applicants!
